Is there a way to limit Google API calls after they exceed a certain number? - Stack Overflow

I am having a problem with some spam bots hitting my google api - distance matrix API and Geocoding API. They are using up all my quoat with spam. Is there a way to limit these to be disabled for an IP after say they hit it 10 times? or something like that?

I had a huge spam issue where they ran up $2000 in charges so I had to cut the limit WAY WAY back, but now it doesnt work for atual customer because the spam runs through the quoate by 3 am.

Google helped me set up limits, but as mentioned, now it doesnt work for paying customers. I'm using wordfence to block countries and IPs, but it is still happening.
